Entry #1 From the Writer's Block

What do I look for in Blogs?

When it come to blogs there is a wide variety of things people enjoy out of them. The things i look for in a blog that i know will keep me hooked in reading them every time are the ones that have a better look overall and are neatly organized. I have short attention span so for me images are what get my attention for example images of video games or food are my favorite. The three blogs i recently read and i enjoyed were "The Pioneer Woman blog, The basics of a good Instagram caption, and Ask Dave Taylor" and i'll explain why.

How does tone play a part in blogs?

The tone in blogs can set a mood for your readers, whether it's a friendly tone or a professional one. There is a lot of consideration to do when thinking about this approach to your audience. The biggest factor would be is if you're doing this in a professional environment or on a more personal one. This two things have to be considered highly because they can have huge impacts on how it's delivered. Blogging for a company can force you to be more careful on what you say compared to doing a blog on a social media platform where it's more freelance writing than anything.

Writing with style

Once we figure out titles wen then proceed to the different type of styles in blogging. The most common type of styles are one with lots of images and instructions for example cooking blogs. These type of writing succeed a lot because if the author can add images that will catch the reader's attention immediately then surely they will be invested in reading through the whole thing. There is some exceptions depending on what the reader or the audience is interested in as well. A good example is a some recent blogs i read that contradict some of my likes in reading.

First example, in the blog "Ask Dave Taylor" the blog he wrote has only one image, which is something i don't like. The reason i ended up reading and liking it was the fact that i felt connected to the reader from some of the experiences he has had for most of his career keeping it precise and neatly written. An example of a blog i did not enjoy was "
200+ Instagram Captions That Go Viral (and How ChatGPT Can Help)" due to some common reasons. When i read a blog about a social media platform that is know for uploading pictures of things i expect to see some imagery added to it. The blog was neat, tone friendly but i feel the lack of images can cause people to keep scrolling.

Purpose of Blogging?

Each one of us has their own motives for writing our own blogs, and like we said earlier it can be because you work for a big company or you are just someone who likes to share stories of their own personal life experiences. The main point at the end is being able to keep your audience hooked making sure that they understand the purpose of your blog. You do all of that while adding the aspect of a well organized and visually appealing blog can guarantee you immediate success in the blogging community,
