Entry #3 My Mint
It begins to crinkle—the soft, papery rustle of a wrapper being peeled back, deliberate and slow, like unsealing a secret. The feeling against my fingertips cool, smooth and round like a row of pearls nestles in a row. Perfection in a matte white form, a confident yet quiet look, like it knows the effect it’s about to have. From the moment you place it on your tongue. The first feeling, it’s firm, light. Then, after a couple of seconds the first crack catches you off-guard. A rush of coolness floods your taste buds and awakens your senses before you could even react to it. The fresh feeling reminds of you of those moments when you step outside on a cold morning and realizing you’re more alive than you thought you were. The longer it stays in your mouth you can feel it slowly melt, deliberately, until it’s completely gone. It’s small. It’s simple. But it’s powerful. A clarity of breath that;s tucked inside a pocket-sized moment.
Hi Raul. I like the way you were detailed describing your mint. When you mentioned "matte" I knew exactly what mint you were talking about. Those are one of my favorite type of mints.
